When I use Moisturisers and skin cleaning products, they always make my skin break out horribly. It’s extremely annoying to me, so I don’t use anything because of that. My mum thinks I may have sensitive skin but yeah…

I think you’re very beautiful and helpful!!!

And i live in New Zealand so the money difference might be heaps…

i totally agree with the BC thing, i was on it for 2 years and then got off of it, and then started getting some of the worst acne ive ever had in my entire life (but its worth it, little one on the way :D!)..i started using aveeno face wash and it seems to be working very well, so its not AS bad now..i think the pregnancy hormones are having a big impact on it though as well

what would you do if you have blackheads?
any drugstore products that really work?

mdub68 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

Yaz works really well at clearing up acne :)

according to pertilude, it takes about a month for your skin to fully adjust to a new product.

Is it just for people who live in America? Thanks.

Apple cider vinegar works on both regular acne AND Cystic acne!! Good luck to all

ekoktk 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

wow, is it only for people in america?

agsirieites 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

wow, that was so helpful, thank you so much! i too have tried tons of different treatments, expensive ones and all but most make it worse. i have found neutrogena products to work best for my skin also and I’m so excited to check out the website about a personalized regime. My skin’s best pregnant and the pill mimics your body’s pregnancy hormones so that explains that. anywho, thanks SO much!

what are your numbers?

It’s weird to clean my face all the time, which is why I opt for Oxy sensitive cleansing pads. They are quick and good for on-the-go situations.

I need to get some better stuff though…thanks to my soda addiction…I have tons of acne. Kinda the reason and not the only one, of why I don’t record myself much anymore.

However, Accutane is considered by most dermatologists to be a “last ditch effort” because it is a very harsh medication. It often causes super dry skin and even nosebleeds and has been known to cause, among other things, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, chest pain, and headaches. It’s VERY rough stuff and if you’re a woman of child-bearing age you have to sign a consent form because of what it does to a fetus during pregnancy. It’s not something to take lightly or use as a first or second choice.

I stay away from using soap on my face…….I just use witch hazel it works great for me…oh and I am also on birth control pills

anurulesforever 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

Lol! You look like Hayden Paniteire (did i spell that right?) and even sound like her!! :) weird you use the same thing she does :P

mizharleyquinn 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

honestly i tried one of the pills (cleared my skin, and i had very bad acne) and i was on it for about a year, i forget the name of it, but it gave me acid reflux and an ulcer and i immediatly had to stop taking it. now im on birth control and my skin has really cleared up. I just make sure to wash my face twice a day.

With in the last year, I started breaking out and now have rosacea. My dermatologist put me on medication (which gave me intense day long headaches) so I stopped taking that. He also gave me a cream for this skin irritation. It was really drying out my skin, so I finally decided to try Proactive. Within a matter of a week, the redness from rosacea went away! I am still working on the bumps, and haven’t found anything that’ll work for me. Products used daily: almay and clinique.

accutane is amazing i can’t believe how much it cleared up my skin. it’s been a year and i haven’t broken out once.
i suggest it to anyone who has serious acne, go talk to a dermatologist about it!

hi, :)
i’m not promoting any other products or anything… i’m just another teen who has struggled with acne. i ordered skin i.d. and used it for 3 months. at first it totally cleared my skin but around month 2 it got WORSE! i called skin i.d. and they said it has to get worse to get better and to wait 2-4 more weeks. SOOO i waited 5 weeks! acne was all over my face. i talked to my dermatologist and took accutane for 6 months. my skin has been flawless ever since <3333333333333333333

LChowie 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

thanks so much :) I’ll keep that in mind

LChowie 02.20.09 at 12:14 pm

really? I thought just the face wash and stuff was all natural, cause my mom’s an avon representative. All I have is mark and avon makeup haha. But I really do love Mark Skincare products, they smell so good and it’s good to know they’re all natural. Love the scrub you can put in your cleanser :)
